About Our process

We’re excited that you’ve taken the first step in the application process. We do things a little bit differently than most companies when it comes to hiring. Since you’ve taken the time to apply, please take a moment to review the next steps in our interview process.

We’ve designed our interview process with these outcomes in mind:

  • Identify the best talent – Every step in our interview process is meant to add to our holistic profile of candidates. We want to understand everything about the individuals who want to join our company including their educational and professional experience, ability to learn quickly, culture / values fit, and that they’d enjoy the position they take.
  • Don’t keep candidates waiting – We want to move candidates quickly through each stage of the interview process so individuals can move from their initial application to an in-person interview within a few days.
  • Reduce bias – Each candidate receives the same interview experience and review by our company’s founders to reduce opportunities for individual bias to creep into the process.

Steps in the Hiring Process

  • Step 1 - Application

    Congratulations on already completing this step. Our team will review your initial application and screening assessment within 48 hours to determine if your application goes to the next phase of our process.

    Unfortunately, at this stage in the application process due to the volume of applications, you will only receive a reply if you’ve been moved to Step 2 in the process.

  • Step 2 - Aptitude and typing assessment

    Candidates will receive an invitation via email to complete two assessments:

    Candidates should complete both assessments within 48 hours of receiving the email with the link to the assessment center.

    Unfortunately, at this stage in the application process due to the volume of applications, you will only receive a reply if you’ve been moved to Step 3 in the process.

  • Step 3 -Recorded Video interview

    Within 48 hours of completing the HireSelect assessment, candidates will receive an invitation via email to complete video interview.

    The interview consists of a handful questions and you’ll have the ability to practice before getting started. 

    The deadline to complete it is 3 days, but the sooner you can get the interview completed, the better, as we’re moving quickly through the hiring process.

    Our goal is for the different members on our hiring team to get to know you better.

    A few important things to note:

    • We use a video interviewing platform called Spark Hire so if you need any help with the process, you can reach their 24×7 support team at support@sparkhire.com.
    • If you don’t have a webcam, you can use a mobile device after downloading Spark Hire’s free iOS or Android app.
    • Once you accept the interview invitation, you’ll be emailed step by step instructions from Spark Hire.

  • Step 4 - Live Video interview

    Within 48 hours of completing the Video Interview, candidates will be contacted via Upwork to schedule a live video interview. This live video interview will be with one of the company’s founders where they will ask more specific questions the candidate’s experience and give the candidate the opportunity to ask questions about the role.

Q: Will I be hired via Upwork?

Your final interview will be on Upwork. After that interview, we will offer you a contract via Upwork and manage the engagement through that platform.
