Bank of America Corporation matches donations to nearly all nonprofit in the organizations including:

  • Educational institutions (K-12 included)
  • Health and human services
  • Arts and cultural organizations
  • Civic and community organizations
  • Environmental organizations
  • And most other 501(c)(3) organizations

Matching gifts for athletic programs with a youth development component that impacts grades K-12 or the in-country equivalent are eligible for a match.

Note: As of 2010, Bank of America no longer matches donations made by retirees but retirees are still eligible to participate in the volunteer grant program. For additional information, please visit {{guidelines}}.

Bank of America Corporation Matching Gift Submission Process:
While on the company intranet, associates should submit their matching gift requests electronically at {{forms}}.

Submission Deadline:
Associates can submit their gifts until March 31st of the year following their donation.

Bank of America Corporation offers a volunteer grant program for employees and retirees who volunteer on a regular basis.
Employees can request a grant of up to $1,000 for the organization where they volunteer, after volunteering for a minimum of 50 hours in a year. There are two tiers of grants:

  • 50 volunteer hours  --> $500 grants
  • 100 volunteer hours --> $1,000 grants

Bank of America Corporation Volunteer Grant Submission Process:
Associates should log their hours and request the volunteer grant electronically through Bank of America's Community Volunteers website which is located at https://www.cybergrants.com/boa/branch.html. Upon submission, the nonprofit will be notified of the volunteer grant.
