Suncor Energy Matching Gift Program and Volunteer Grant Information

Suncor matches employee and retiree donations through two different grant programs:

1. Individual Matching Gifts
Suncor matches donations made by employees and retirees to eligible Canadian and international (including all U.S.) post-secondary educational institutions.

The company matches up to $1,000 per year for every employee or retiree.

2. Fundraising Grants
Employees or retirees who participate in events that require individuals to raise funds for charitable organizations can apply for a matching grant, up to a maximum of $500.

This grant supports activity-based fundraising events only that are organized by a charitable organization (ex. Walk-a-thons, Charity bike rides, marathons, etc.)

Suncor's Matching Gift Submission Process:
Employees / donors should log these grant requests electronically at {{forms}}.

Suncor provides grants to nonprofits where employees volunteer through two types of volunteer grant programs:

1. Ongoing Individual Volunteer Grants
After Suncor employees volunteer 48 hours with an organization, Suncor provides a volunteer grant of $750 to that organization.

Examples could include, but are not limited to:

• Instructing youth sports
• Serving meals to homeless people
• Mentoring students

2. Leadership Grants
Suncor provides support to recognize employee or retirement involvement on a not-for-profit board of directors or equivalent governing body for a not-for-profit.

Examples could include:

• Table purchase at gala dinners/events
• Any fundraising event/activity hosted by the not-for-profit you volunteer with as a board member

Each employee is eligible to request up to $1,000 in leadership grants annually.
