Matching gift process

State Farm matches donations from employees and retirees to most nonprofits in both the U.S. and Canada.

Eligible organizations include:

  • Educational institutions (K-12 included)
  • Health and human services
  • Arts and cultural organizations
  • Civic and community organizations
  • Environmental organizations
  • And most 501 (c)(3) organizations

All State Farm employees, agents, and retirees are eligible to participate. State Farm matches up to $1,500 for donations made to charitable programs and will match up to $3,000 for donations made to higher education programs. For additional information, please visit {{guidelines}}.

State Farm Matching Gift Submission Process:
Employees should log into {{forms}} to submit their matching gift requests electronically. Paper forms are no longer available accepted.

Deadline:
Employees must submit match requests by January 31st of the year after the donation was made.

State Farm provides grants to nonprofits where employees, agents, and retirees volunteer on a regular basis.

Once an employee, agent, or retiree volunteers for 40 hours in a calendar year, State Farm will donate $500 to the organization through State Farm's Good Neighbor Grant Program.

State Farm Volunteer Grant Submission Process:
Volunteers log into https://www.cybergrants.com/statefarm/gives/ to submit their matching gift request electronically. Paper forms are also available through the website.

State Farm volunteers must submit the electronic volunteer grant application by March 31st of the year following the one in which services were volunteered.
