San Francisco Performances has been a leader in the Bay Area cultural scene since our founding in 1979. We have introduced hundreds of classical music, jazz and contemporary dance artists to audiences, including world-renowned performers like Yo-Yo Ma, the Juilliard String Quartet, Philip Glass, and the Paul Taylor Dance Company. With a strong curatorial vision, great artistic taste, and adventurous programming, we are the city’s premier presenter of intimate concerts, solo recitals and dance. San Francisco Performances is also recognized for introducing new artists to the Bay Area, and for providing opportunities for audiences—from those who attend our concerts, to public school students who encounter music and dance for the very first time—to engage personally with artists and gain a deeper understanding of their work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. It's an easy way to double your contribution to us!

Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process that must be initiated by the donor. You can do this through an electronic submission process or by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer. Please search our database above for company-specific information.

Many companies offer Volunteer Grants (often called "Dollars for Doers"). If you volunteer a certain number of hours with us, your employer may provide us with a financial grant in recognition of your time. Some companies also offer Volunteer Time Off (VTO), allowing you to volunteer during work hours without using your personal PTO. Search for your employer above to see if these programs are available to you.

We partner with a company called Double the Donation. If you see anything that should be changed, please email Double the Donation's team at data@doublethedonation.com.

For questions regarding your company's programs, please contact your employer's HR or community giving department. Much of the necessary information is also available on your company intranet.
