For over 60 years, the Mental Health Association of Greater Chicago has been calling for schools to put mental health at the heart of what children learn in schools. Mental health is not extracurricular. Experience tells us that difficulties from having anxiety, ADHD, learning disabilities and social issues result in an increased chance of having more and co-occurring mental health problems.
Help is out there - We want everyone who is having dark thoughts to know this. We believe that the best way to deal with a crisis is to prevent it from happening in the first place. We work diligently to improve access to mental health services.
Our knowledge, informed by painstaking research and practical based study, has been pioneering change for more than 60 years and we aren't afraid to challenge the status quo or tackle difficult issues. Our educational programs, Learning2Live, 2tough2bully, Vetted2live, Effective Parenting, Teaching with a Heart and more - are a holistically focused effort to provide mental health knowledge to all involved with our children, families and communities.
An easy way to double your contribution is through employee giving programs. Many corporations match employee donations (or cost of membership - $20) to our organization.
If you volunteer with us, your employer may also provide us with a grant as a way to recognize your ongoing support.

Volunteer grant programs are corporate giving programs in which companies provide monetary donations to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.
If you volunteer with us, it's an easy way to provide us with additional financial support!
Requesting a matching gift or volunteer grant is normally a five minute process which must be initiated by the donor / volunteer. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer or through an electronic submission process.
