Throughout the year, the Atlanta History Center brings history to life through living history programs, lectures with award-winning authors, toddler programs, homeschool days, school tours, summer camps, annual festivals and exciting exhibitions.  We rely on donations and memberships to make all of this happen.

Did you know that many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations? Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some may even triple the amount of your gift! Many companies also match volunteer hours or gifts from spouses, retirees, and board members.

Matching gifts account for nearly $30,000 each year in significant additional support for the Atlanta History Center. Thank you for your help!

Frequently Asked Questions

Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. It's an easy way to double your contribution to us!

Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process that must be initiated by the donor. You can do this through an electronic submission process or by filling out and submitting a paper match form provided by your employer. Please search our database above for company-specific information.

Many companies offer Volunteer Grants (often called "Dollars for Doers"). If you volunteer a certain number of hours with us, your employer may provide us with a financial grant in recognition of your time. Some companies also offer Volunteer Time Off (VTO), allowing you to volunteer during work hours without using your personal PTO. Search for your employer above to see if these programs are available to you.

We partner with a company called Double the Donation. If you see anything that should be changed, please email Double the Donation's team at data@doublethedonation.com.
