Scouting was developed in 1910, and since then, has shaped the lives of young people by instilling values, strength of character, citizenship, personal health and helping young people develop moral values that they will carry throughout their lives.

The comprehensive youth program focus is on developing the whole person, with appropriate opportunities for growth, success and increased self-esteem presented at each level.  At the Northern New Jersey Council, we serve a diverse membership of more than 15,000 young people through an array of age-appropriate programs in hundreds of cities and towns in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic counties.

We can provide traditional and innovate programs because of our volunteer’s commitment and donations from our Scout community.

A simple and great way to support our mission is through a matching gift program. Double the Donation is the industry-leading tool to find out if your employer will match your donations!

If you choose to support our council, your employer may Double Your Donation!.

Thank you for your support and effort to keep Scouting Strong!
